Cardinal: Christian/Muslim dialog at point zero

In Germany Cardinal Lehmann, chair of the Bishops Conference, has said (D) that he estimates the dialogue between Christians and Muslims to have reached 'point zero'. In unusually sharp wording he called on muslim critics of the Pope to keep to 'elementary rules of a business-like and fair treatment' of dialogue partners.
It won't do if one consistently repeats misinterpretations, that haven't got the slightest basis [in fact], of an unequivocal text.
Lehman is convinced the Pope has nothing to apologize for in this matter and should take nothing back. The Popes sensitivity towards muslim grievances have been 'without example' and now was the time to stop the threats, open or veiled, according to Lehmann.
