Firstly, there's a new piece up at Brussels Journal: Why Europeans Should Support Israel. Why Europe should indeed is made crystal clear in the first paragraph:
One of the most frustrating things to watch is the powerful anti-Israeli and sometimes outright anti-Semitic current that is prevalent in too much of Europe’s media. Bat Ye’or’s predictions about Arab anti-Semitism spreading in Europe as the continent’s Islamization and descent into Eurabia continues have so far proved depressingly accurate. This trend needs to be fought, vigorously, by all serious European anti-Jihadists. Not only because it is immoral and unfair to Israelis, which it is, but also because those who assist it are depriving Europeans of the opportunity to fully grasp the threat and understand the nature of the Jihad that is now targeting much of Europe as well. What follows is a detailed examination of how some quarters will not allow Europe to come to terms with the Holocaust, because doing so would mean an end to the guilt trip that guiles Europe into supporting those that would destroy her. Highly recommended.
Second, over at Gates of Vienna there's a piece entitled Will the Third Rome Fall to Islam? This piece takes a closer look at the ambivalent attitude towards both the West and Islam in the Russian corridors of power. Although that attitude is somewhat understandable from a historic point of view (NATO bombing orthodox Serbs to help muslim Bosnians may well have sent a signal tha the West had forsaken it's christian heritage for a New World Order) it may prove to be fatal in the long run.
Elena Chudinova, the author of the dystopian novel The Mosque of Notre Dame de Paris, says that if the Muslims were to succeed in establishing their own rule in Moscow, then Russian culture, Russians as a people and Russia itself would cease to exist. And because that danger is not unthinkable, she is calling for a struggle against the Islamic threat to the Christian world. The overriding theme in both these pieces is one which we have adressed also on this blog: Know your history! It may well help you to avoid disaster.
[UPDATE001] Fjordman is also sharing some thoughts on the meaning of the recent unrest in Utrecht over at Brussels Journal: Native Revolt: A European Declaration of Independence. But there's much more to it than just that. It is drawing the ultimate conclusion the breakdown of the social contract that EU memberstate governments are responsible for.
[I]f the European Union isn't dismantled, Multiculturalism isn't rejected and Muslim immigration isn't stopped, we, the peoples of Europe, are left with no other choice than to conclude that our authorities have abandoned us, and that the taxes they collect are therefore are unjust and that the laws that are passed without our consent are illegitimate. We will stop paying taxes and take the appropriate measures to protect our own security and ensure our national survival.Read it all.
[UPDATE002] And in a piece over at Gates of Vienna, Fjordman wonders whether muslim violence is not just incidental, but part of a larger scheme: Muslim Violence — Crime or Jihad?
