David Masci, a senior research fellow at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, said Thursday it was difficult for many Muslim immigrants to accept the secular nature of countries like Holland.Which of course begs the question: If that is really the case, then what are they doing in the Netherlands? With today's globalisation there's ample opportunity to settle in a country that agrees more with your choice in 'lifestyle', methinks. So leave us the hell alone and find your happiness in some Sharia-hole somewhere, already. Unless of course, there's something else at play here...
"Look," he said. "Holland is a society which is very, very liberal in terms of attitudes towards gender and towards sexuality. These people are clearly pushing against that."
As the world is being beat into submission with regard to the sanctity of mosques, this respect for holy places is not exactly reciprocated. In Gaza, handed over to the PA for the de facto creation of a Palestinian State, what is left of the synagogues that once served the Jewish settlers are turned into "a military base and source of fire against the Zionists and the Zionist entity". And of course Israel is to blame for any dent in reputation these actions incur.
Mr. Abir blamed the Jewish state for the desecration of the Gaza synagogues by Palestinian Arabs, claiming the decision to leave the structures intact was part of an Israeli conspiracy. As EU Referendum observes: Dead clever, these Jews.
Israel "left the synagogues behind so the world would see the Palestinians destroying them," Mr. Abir said.
The French know not how to stand up to those that would subdue them. It really is beyond belief, how far the French political classes will go in accepting the 'narrative' of the lowest of elements. The electrical station that killed two Parisian "youth" and ultimately caused the riots of November 2005 has been turned into a monument. Via LGF the news that socialist presidential candidate Segolene Royal saw fit to visit the 'monument' and actually lay a wreath in memory of the two "youth".
[UPDATE001] Nidra Poller has more on this.
In a WTF?-moment: Brussels Journal informs us that the new Labour government of the UK will enforce the smoking bans in churches around the UK:
Health chiefs are spending thousands of pounds ordering churches to put up signs banning smoking. In the words of Brussels Journals Elaib Harvey : "Apparently the godless, witless pack of heathens have obviously never been into a church."
The decision has left religious leaders bemused because, they say, no one smokes in places of worship anyway.
And finally, Canadas National Post declares the death of Multiculturalism. One hopes they're right. And if they're right: Not a moment too soon.
