Coming apart at the seams

Yours truly has a number of favourite blogs that are visited multiple times a day. Among these are the usual suspects, such as EU Referendum (and their aggregate: The Umbrella blog), Jihad Watch, Brussels Journal, to name just a few.

A recent addition to this list is Watt's Up With That. Dedicated to the *real* science of climate and weather, the former television meteorologist who is the owner of this blog takes a sceptical view of the whole Climate Change flap.

And lately it is all the more interesting, since there have been a number of developments that may spell the end of the Warmists, Goristas (or is that Gore-illas?) and other assorted crypto-marxists telling us the only way to save our planet is to hand over power and sovereignty to them.

First, there is the rather surprising news that Lord Monckton was invited by the American Physical Society (APS) to write a paper for their newsletter, questioning the methods and findings of the UNs Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). As it turns out the paper was a tad too rich for the blood of the board of the APS, resulting in a rather shitty treatment of both the paper and Lord Monckton himself.

And then there's the testimony before the US Congress by Roy Spencer. An ex-employee of NASA with close to twenty years in global warming research, he gave a run-down of the most recent findings in climate research and came bearing good news:
Regarding the currently popular theory that mankind is responsible for global warming, I am very pleased to deliver good news from the front lines of climate change research. Our latest research results, which I am about to describe, could have an enormous impact on policy decisions regarding greenhouse gas emissions.
Despite decades of persistent uncertainty over how sensitive the climate system is to increasing concentrations of carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels, we now have new satellite evidence which strongly suggests that the climate system is much less sensitive than is claimed by the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
From whence he continues to explain why this is so, and why the models used by the IPCC got it so horribly wrong. It's a bit technical, but not overly so (he was talking to politicians, after all). SO I highly recommend reading it. There's even pictures for the more visually inclined.

All in all it seems that we are now at the stage where the whole man-made global warming or climate change is starting to come apart. Despite my earlier pessimism, real, actual, Popperian science seems poised to triumph over ideologically inspired pseudo-science as hyped up predictions of ever increasing temperatures and disappearing polar ice are overtaken by actual facts and trends.

The impending collapse was already evident after the broadcast of the Great Global Warming Swindle (see also here). But it seems that now the collapse is speeding up and becoming a veritable avalanche. And let us hope it'll sweep up and destroy the careers of anyone caught out in the open upon it's slopes, starting with Al Gore and the main authors of the last IPCC report (all five of them).

Of course it is a bit too much to hope for a quick change of heart by our 'betters' in government and the EUnion. And thus we will still be made to witness an enormous amount of money squandered on feel-good environmental projects, not to mention the destruction of a goodly part of Europe's economy.

But the cat's out of the bag now. And as EUnion citizens log on to the internet and read all the information our 'betters' do not want us to know, maybe we'll be in a position to limit the damage that these ideologically inspired, power-hungry parasites (yes, I am looking at you, Manuel) can do to us.
